Die Schöttelkarspitze liegt mitten im Karwendel. Um den Gipfel zu erklimmen braucht es etwas Kondition und Zeit. Der Aufstieg ist an manchen Stellen etwas steil, aber machbar. Wenn ihr den Gipfel des Seinskopfs erreicht habt, werdet ihr feststellen, dass ihr noch eine Weile zur Schöttelkarspitze zu gehen habt. Vom Seinskopf führen euch zwei Wege zum Gipfel. Ziemlich genau zwischen dem Tegernsee und dem Achensee liegt dieser wenig besuchte Gipfel in den Blaubergen.
